Formed in 1996 when the Talybont Hunt amalgamated into the Brecon. The Brecon Hunt: Established about 1871, as a pack of harriers, the change to fox occurred in 1890 under the Mastership of C H de Winton. The Talybont Hunt: Dates from 1929, when the country hunted by the Hon Eileen Berry's
Hounds was divided to form the Tallybont and the Gelligaer Farmers' Hunts.


Hunt Country

The Hunt Country lies in Powys between the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Eppynt Hills, and is mainly permanent pasture and woodlands with large areas of open common. Ground lies between
600 ft and the top of the Beacons at 2964 ft.

Adjoining Hunts: Golden Valley, Monmouthshire, Gelligaer Farmers, Ystrad Taf Fechan, Sennybridge
and Irfon & Towy.
